Here are a few examples of exotic flowers that you can plant in your garden:

Painted Tongue- Painted Tongue also commonly referred to as Anthuriums, Flamingo flower or Tail flower are exotic flowers native to wet-warm tropical areas of America. The plants’ flowers are heart shaped with thick leaves of a waxy texture. Painted Tongue colours range from red, orange, white and pink. Flower varieties include but are not limited to flowering, velvet leafed, palmate leafed and pendulous.

Crane Flowers- Crane Flowers also known as Birds of Paradise are native to sunny South Africa. These exotic flowers boast with an unique and beautiful shape resembling that of flocks of beautifully, coloured birds in flight. Crane Flowers are ideal landscape plants requiring very little water, care and maintenance once established. Flower colours are primarily orange with a hint of yellow and red. Flowers bloom from September to May.

Arum Lilies- Arum Liles also known as Calla Lily or Trumpet Lily, are also native to sunny South Africa. The plants’ flowers are large and magnificently flaring with a distinct trumpet shape. Calla Lilies derive their name from the Greek word, meaning beautiful. Flowers are in bloom from late spring until late summer. Arum Lily colours range from yellow, red and white to orange.

Gardenias- Gardenias are beautifully strong scented flowers with a striking exotic appearance. These flowers are native to tropical and sub-tropical areas of Australia, Africa and South Asia, and where named after a well-known doctor from South Carolina. Gardenia colours range from white to pale yellow.
